Problems identified from the users and internal staff feedback:
• A critical space of the library website (the utility bar) has not been properly utilized
• A drop down menu for the lightly used Stanford University links (top right corner) was blocking the login link necessary for accessing the library licensed resources
• Users didn't know why it was labeled 'MyLane' and what is 'Guest Access'
• At the same time, the library was undergoing the branding migration under the Stanford Medicine umbrella
• Communication channels links (phone number, live chat, ask us) were too small to be easily found on the site

To illustrate the planned changes for desktop and mobile user interactions, I created a prototype with Adobe XD.
This prototype also includes the foundation for the future modifications of the main navigation and the search box area (not shown in details here).
